Education: I grew up in the metroplex area where I graduated from Haltom High School. Go Buffalos!  After high school I went to Texas A&M University in College Station.  Gig'em Ags!  Four and a half years later, I graduated with a degree in Agriculture Science, to teach ag in grades 6-12.  In the summer of 2016 I got my certification to teach EC (early childhood) through 6th grade.
Experience: This year will be my 8th full year of teaching!  I started teaching 1st grade at Alvord Elementary School in November of 2016.
While our children were in elementary school, I became a substitute teacher.  When the position for the Pre-K/Music aide came available, I was able to work at the elementary full-time.  I was in that position for about 2 1/2 years until I got to be a part of the first grade teaching team!
Bio: After I graduated from college, my husband Josh and I got married. Almost a year later we were blessed with our daughter Isabella. Sixteen months after we had our daughter, our son Jack was born.  After Isabella was born I became a stay at home wife and mom. This year Isabella is a senior at Texas Women's University and Jack is in his 2nd year there.  My husband just received his masters from Texas Women's University!
Also included in our family are our two dogs, Vince and Cinnamon. They are both spoiled rotten. Vince is a German Shepherd and Cinnamon is a mix between a Great Pyrenees and a Golden Retriever.  We also have 3 rotten, full of energy, sweet and spoiled cats. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and catching up on our favorite TV shows and now learning about composting!
