Education: I grew up in the metroplex area where I graduated from Haltom High School. Go Buffalos!  After high school I went to Texas A&M University in College Station.  Gig'em Ags!  Four and a half years later, I graduated with a degree in Agriculture Science, to teach ag in grades 6-12.  In the summer of 2016 I got my certification to teach EC (early childhood) through 6th grade.
Experience: This year will be my 3rd full year of teaching!  I started teaching 1st grade at Alvord Elementary School in November of 2016.
While our children were in elementary school, I became a substitute teacher.  When the position for the Pre-K/Music aide came available, I was able to work at the elementary full-time.  I was in that position for about 2 1/2 years until I got to be a part of the first grade teaching team!
Bio: After I graduated from college, my husband Josh and I got married. Almost a year later we were blessed with our daughter Isabella. Sixteen months after we had our daughter, our son Jack was born.  After Isabella was born I became a stay at home wife and mom. This year Isabella is a sophomore and Jack is a freshman.  Both attend Alvord High School.
Also included in our family are our two dogs, Vince and Cinnamon. They are both spoiled rotten. Vince is a German Shepherd and Cinnamon is a mix between a Great Pyrenees and a Golden Retriever. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and catching up on our favorite TV shows.
